WC Qualifiers: Iheanacho’s brace sends Super Eagles to the top

Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho scored a brace to help Nigeria defeat Liberia 2-0.

Iheanacho broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute after a short corner and a one-two with Alex Iwobi, the Leicester City striker the ball past the keeper, who made a poor decision. 

Seniorman Kels made it 2-0 just before the break, following a long throw from Jamilu Collins was headed backward by Everton star, Iwobi, and Iheanacho controlled the ball well, before placing the ball into the back of the net.

Nigeria will now go top of Group B after the Central Africa Republic played out a 1-1 draw with Cape Verde in their first match.
