Great Britain’s Emma Raducanu continued her incredible run at the US Open as she beat Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic in straight sets to reach the semifinal.
The 18-year-old stunned the Swiss 11th seed 6-3 6-4 to reach the semifinal in just her second grand slam main draw appearance.

Raducanu broke out at Wimbledon, where she reached the fourth round. Her journey at the US Open started in the qualifiers, where she went through three rounds before reaching the main draw.

Since then she hasn’t looked back. She defeated Shelby Rogers, who knocked out World No 1 Ashleigh Barty, in the fourth round.
The Great Britan star is not the only teenager making a name for herself at this US Open. On Tuesday night, 19-year-old Leyla Fernandez of Canada also stunned fifth seed to Elina Svitolina to reach the semifinals.

Fernandez will meet Belarusian second seed Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals, while Raducanu will face either Czech fourth seed Karolina Pliskova or Greek 17th seed Maria Sakkari in Thursday’s semis.
