The Belgian captain will not take part in the second leg of the the champions league quarter final clash against the Reds
Eden Hazard has been ruled out of Real Madrid’s squad for the return leg of their champions league quarter final encounter against Liverpool at Anfield.
Hazard has not played for Madrid since he returned from a two-month layoff in March. The 30-year-old picked up an injury in Los Blancos La Liga encounter against Elche on March 13.
Although he has returned to training, the former Chelsea star is yet to regain full fitness and won’t be a part of the travelling party to Anfield.
While Hazard won’t feature on Wednesday, Federico Valverde has been included in the squad despite picking up a knock in the El-Clasico on Saturday.
Valverde missed the first leg last week but played in the 2-1 win over Barcelona on Saturday. However, he picked up an injury in the clash and it was feared that he would miss the trip to Liverpool.
But he’s expected to be fit for the encounter and has been included in the squad. Real Madrid are already without Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal while Lucas Vasquez has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury against Barcelona.
