Asisat Oshoala | The Super Falcons captain was among the goals as Barcelona Femení thumped Deportivo Alaves Gloriosas 9-1. Oshoala started the game from the bench but came on in the second half, and after 20 minutes on the field of play, she scored the ninth goal of the encounter.
Sadiq Umar | The Kaduna-born striker was the hero for Almeria in their 2-1 win over Girona to go back to the top of the log. Umar had a hand in both goals, scoring the first goal, and providing the assist for the second goal. He has now scored six goals and provided three assists in eight league matches.
Taiwo Awoniyi | The Ilorin-born striker is enjoying life in Germany, and in Union Berlin’s away win over his Maiz – his former club – Awoniyi was the stand-out performer. The 2013 U-17 winner helped his team come from a goal down by scoring two goals in space of four minutes, and he was named in the Bundesliga team of the week.
