Top three Naija stars over the weekend

ABZ looks at the biggest performing Nigerians in the world of football at the weekend, including the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), and below are the selected Naija superstars who stood out over the weekend.

Asisat Oshoala | The Ikorodu-born striker returned to the starting lineup after an injury lay off, and three substitute appearances, and she repaid the manager’s faith in her with beautiful goals. The Super Falcons captain scored a hat trick in Barcelona Femeni’s 4-0 win over Real Betis, taking her tally to 15 goals in 12 matches.

Odion Ighalo | The Lagos-born striker has once again shown how clinical he is in front of goal, after scoring on his debut for Al-Hilal Football Club of Saudi Arabia. The Super Eagles forward just completed his switch from Al Shabab on Saturday, and he played in the friendly game against Al-Fateh on Sunday and scored.

Samson Olasupo | The midfielder was a hero for Sunshine Stars in their 3-0 win over Lobi Stars over the weekend. He had a hand in all three goals, scoring a brace and providing an assist to help the Owena Waves win all three points and continue their seven games unbeaten.
