Yusuf Abdulazeez | Abdulazeez was the hero for Gombe United over the as the newly-promoted side picked up their first win of the season, courtesy of a 3-0 win over Lobi Stars. Yusuf scored two second-half goals in the match and was involved in the play that led to an own goal to help his side earn a deserved three points at home.
Samuel Chukwueze | The Umuahia-born winger started his second La Liga game of the season, and he repaid the manager’s faith with a superb performance in Villarreal’s 5-0 thumping of Levante. He completed the most dribbles in their match and created the assist for the first goal.
Odion Ighalo | The former Manchester United striker showed why Al Shabab don’t want to release him in the thrilling seven-goal thriller against Al Ahli in the Saudi Arabian Professional League. Ighalo played for all 90 minutes at the Prince Abdullah al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, and he scored the winning goal to help his side to a 4-3 win on Saturday night.
