ABZ looks at the biggest performing Nigerians in the world of football at the weekend, including the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), and below are the selected Naija superstars who stood out over the weekend.
Victor Osimhen | The Lagos-born striker has been in fine form in the last few games for Napoli, and on their 2-0 win over Cagliari, the Super Eagles striker was involved in both goals. He scored the first goal early in the game before winning a penalty for the second goal.
Daniel Akpeyi | The Nnewi-born goalkeeper had a brilliant game in Kaizer Chief’s goalless draw against Marumo Gallants, making superb saves with his brilliant reflex saves. He made more saves when they were reduced to 10 men helping his side keep a clean sheet.
Paul Onuachu | The lanky Owerri-born striker has continued from where he left off last season, scoring goals aplenty, and over the weekend he deservedly won the man of the match in Genk’s 3-0 win over Seraing. The Super Eagles striker scored all three goals.
