Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka is set to make his Premier League debut for Brentford when they host Arsenal on Friday.
The 23-year-old became one of the top signings for the Bees heading into the 2021/22 season after he joined from Danish side, FC Midtjylland for £8.5m this summer.
Onyeka’s first pre-season’s game was a substitute appearance against Manchester United before warming himself into the hearts of Brentford fans with a spectacular half volley during the win against former UEFA Champions League finalists, Valencia as the Bees rounded off pre-season with a comprehensive 2-1 victory.
Interestingly, Brentford are the 28th team to earn promotion to the premier league since its inception in 1992, and they can become only the seventh side to win their opening match.
Onyeka will wear the number 15 shirt for Brentford this season as he hopes to help the Bees maintain their Premier League status and avoid relegation straight back into the English Championship.
