Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi dedicated his 2020/2021 FA Cup title to his daughter in a heartfelt message via social media.
The Nigerian was in action for the whole duration of the encounter as the Foxes defeated UEFA Champions League finalist Chelsea by 1-0 at Wembley on Saturday night.
“Perfect birthday gift for my daughter. What a feeling having to see the fans again. Thank you everyone, ” an emotional Ndidi wrote after the match.
Ndidi went on to share a Goodluck message card from the daughter and his his which was equally sweet, it read: “Hello Wilfred. We see your hardwork, determination and sportsmanship. You are a source of inspiration and motivation to a lot of young boys. Keep making us proud. We love you. Mama and Baby J.”
Both sides were separated by a goal from Belgian, Youri Tielemans who rifled a shot into the top right corner of Chelsea’s goal for the match winner.
However, Leicester City had Kasper Schmeichel to thank as the Dane pulled off some amazing saves to deny Chilwell and Mason Mount getting the equaliser and taking the game into extra time.
