Ahead of the 2021/22 season, Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed his desire to get more goals and help Leicester City achieve a great campaign.
The 24-year-old finished as topscorer for the Foxes last season with 19 goals but they missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification by a whisker. The Brendan Rodgers side finished fifth with 66 points, a point adrift fourth placed Chelsea.
“Obviously, I scored goals last season,” Iheanacho told the club’s official website.” “I think, this season, we really need to do more and focus on our games.
“I have a good feeling that this season, it might fall for us and we will get what we want. As I said before, we need to concentrate and focus on the games, one after the other and hopefully, we will get there in the end. I pray for more goals, but most importantly, more wins and more points.”
Leicester City will face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their opening match of the 2021/22 Premier League season at the King Power Stadium.
