Super Eagles don’t need any motivation to beat Ghana – Ekong

Ahead of the 2022 World Cup play-off against Ghana at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi on Friday, Super Eagles Vice-Captain William Troost-Ekong says the team know what to do and needs no motivation.

Nigeria won Group C with 13 points to make it to the Play-Off while Ghana also finished with 13 points in Group G, same points as South Africa but with a better goals difference to set up the titanic clash against the three-time African Champions.

‘I’m fit and feeling good and have been training for two weeks now. The good thing about this match is that there is absolutely little need to ginger any of our players before the match.

‘Indeed, what we need to do is to make sure we are all calm enough to execute our game on the day,” the Watford defender said during the press conference on Wednesday.

The first leg will be played on the 25th of March in Kumasi while the return leg will be at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja on the 29th March.
