Sterling scores as England beat Croatia

Manchester City forward, Raheem Sterling’s goal was enough as England beat Croatia 1-0 at the Wembley Stadium to earn their first three points in Euro 2020.

The only goal in the game was scored in the 57th minute, after Kalvin Philips made a brilliant solo run, before sending a defense splitting pass to Sterling, who sent the ball into the back of the net under pressure.

England manager, Garett Southgate was criticized for his starting lineup, but it paid off in the end, as the Three Lions picked up all three points and are top of the table for now. Croatia, on the other hand, put up a good challenge, but it was not enough to win a point in the clash.
