New Signing, Jadon Sancho trained with Manchester United for the first time since he made his 73 million pounds move from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The 21-year-old did not resume with the rest of the squad for pre-season as he was part of the England squad that got to the final of the Euro 2020 and lost out to Italy via penalties.
Sancho came back from holidays last week and trained for the first time with the fitness trainer. He is now in the race to be match ready for the opening match against City rivals Leeds United on August 14.
The Manchester City academy product missed the final preseason friendly against Everton where the Red Devils won 4-0 at Old Trafford. Manchester United will be hoping to win the premier league title for the first time in eight seasons since the departure of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.
Meanwhile, Raphael Varane is expected to complete his move from Real Madrid to Manchester United this week. The French World Cup winner is already in Manchester after some visa delays and he is in isolation with his family.
Man United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope to have him ready for the match against Leeds United but it’s looking increasingly likely that Victor Lindelof will partner Captain Harry Maguire at the heart of defence on Saturday.
