Ronaldo’s run continues as Man United beat Villarreal

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo continued his run of scoring in every UEFA Champions League game this season, as his goal helped Manchester United beat Villarreal 2-0 at El Madrigal.

Manchester United broke the deadlock in the 78th minute, after a poor defending from Villarreal, after a bad control from under pressure Etienne Capoue, and the ball dropped to Cristiano Ronaldo, who chipped the keeper to give the visitors the lead.

Manchester United sealed the win late in the game, after picking Villarreal in the counter-attack, with Marcus Rashford dropping the ball to Bruno Fernándes, who gave a pass to Jadon Sancho, and the Englishman blasted the ball past the goalkeeper.

Villarreal will now have all to do in their final group game to qualify for the round of 16, while Manchester United have now qualified for the knockout stages.
