Cometh the hour, cometh the man, Cristiano Ronaldo became the hero for Manchester United as they beat Spurs 3-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ronaldo broke the deadlock in the 39th minute, hitting a half volley from a chipped cross from Bruno Fernándes after Ben Davies missed a header, and the Portuguese hit the ball well past Hugo Lloris.
Ronaldo then turned provider, after Bruno stole the ball and gave the ball to Cristiano, who gave a perfect through ball to Edinson Cavani to finish past the outrushing keeper.
Second-half substitute, Marcus Rashford put the icing on the cake, after connecting well to a lovely through pass from Nemanja Matic, and the number 10 placed the ball well into the back of the net.
Tottenham Hotspur have dropped to eight on the log with 15 points, while Manchester United moved to fifth with 17 points.
