Real Madrid young star, Takefusa Kubo, who is often called the “Japanese Messi” has re-joined Real Mallorca on loan till the end of the season after both clubs agreed to a deal.
Kubo had a busy summer with the Japan under-23 team, helping the Tokyo 2020 Olympic hosts to a fourth-place finish, but there is still no place for him at Real Madrid, and he will now return to Mallorca to continue his promising development.
An official statement from Real Madrid reads: “Real Madrid and Real Mallorca have agreed on the loan of the player Takefusa Kubo for the season, until June 30, 2022.”
A few other clubs also wanted the signature of Kubo, but the young star decided to go back to the environment he is used to, following a loan spell with Mallorca in the 2019–2020 season.
The 20-year-old left-footed star joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, and he is yet to play an official game with the first team, going out on loan to Real Mallorca for the 2019-2020 season, then Villarreal and Getafe for the 2020/2021 campaign.
In his first loan spell with Real Mallorca, Kubo featured in 35 of the 38 La Liga games for Los Piratas, scoring just four goals, but he will love to improve better and hope to cut it at Real Madrid, come next season when Vinicius Jr becomes nationalised.
