Real Madrid respond to Premier League switch

Spanish giants, Real Madrid have responded to reports that the capital club want to leave La Liga for the Premier League.

Real Madrid are not happy with the league, and its president Javier Tebas, over the agreement with investment fund CVC, who are trying to buy a chunk of the Spanish top tier, and reports say the Spanish giants want to leave the league. 

According to reports from Spanish outlet, Mundo Deportivo, Los Blancos Real are looking at alternatives to La Liga and moving abroad for their domestic league competition, as the Premier League would be Perez’s preferred choice.

Real Madrid released an official statement to deny the reports, saying: “Given the information published today by the newspaper Mundo Deportivo, in which it says that our club studied the possibility of moving from La Liga to the Premier, Real Madrid wants to assert that this information is completely false, absurd and impossible and it only intends to disturb, once more, the day to day of our club.”
