Real Madrid have now defeated Barcelona in four consecutive games following a 2-1 win at Camp Nou.
David Alaba broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute, after starting a counterattack, Vinicius Junior did well to find Rodrygo, who sent a through ball to Alaba, and the Austrian blasted the ball past Marc-André ter Stegen.
Lucas Vasquez put the icing on the cake in the 93rd minute, after Barcelona’s shout for a penalty was denied, Real Madrid went on a counterattack, and Asensio’s shot was saved, but Vasquez scored from the rebound, to make it 2-0.
Sergio Kun Aguero pulled one back for the hosts in the 97th minute after tapping in a low cross from Serginho Dest, but it was not enough to salvage a point.
Real Madrid have now moved back to the top of the La Liga table, while Barcelona sit eight on the log.
