Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has expressed his desire to ensure a second place finish in the Premier League.
United face Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday. A win against the London side will ensure a second place finish for the Old Trafford club.
Speaking to MUTV ahead of the game, Solskjaer said, MEN reports: “That is progress and of course that’s been the aim for the last few weeks.
“Two months or so ago we were hoping for more, but results didn’t pan out the way we wanted them to and we couldn’t keep up with the champions unfortunately. But second place is progress and let’s make sure we get the points. Performances are the most important thing because if performances come, the results will come.”
United face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their final game in the Premier League this season. Their last league game will be followed by a clash with Villarreal in the Europa League final.
