Manchester United, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea joined the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan and Atletico to form a breakaway competition, which was announced on Sunday.
The decision by the big clubs were immediately criticised by lovers of football around the world with the voices of fans uniting as one against the plot to ignore them for what they before is greed for money. While FIFA and UEFA totally disagreed with the proposal and threatened sanctions.
Tonight, all English clubs involved have withdrawn from the Super League with an official statement with the exception of Chelsea, who played out a goalless draw against Brighton on Monday night.
Meanwhile, AC Milan are willing to follow the English club out of the Super League, according to reports. This will effectively mean that the competition is dead on arrival.
