Pep ends Ole jinx as Man City beat Man United

Pep Guardiola ended the poor run of four Premier League games without a win against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester City beat Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford.

The Cityzens broke the deadlock in the seventh minute, after Eric Bailly scored an own goal, following a whipped cross from Joao Cancelo, and the Ivorian kicked the ball past David De Gea into his own goal.

After lots of attempts and saved from de Gea, Manchester got their second just before the break, after Manchester United’s defenders were ball watching, waiting for a goal kick, but Bernardo Silva had other answers, as he went for the ball at the far post and kicked it into the back of the net.

Manchester United remain fifth on the log and could drop out of the top 10 depending on other results, while Manchester City closed the gap on their title rivals and sit second on the table for now
