Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has resumed training with Napoli after he was given the all-clear following Covid and surgery for facial fractures.
According to reports in Italy, the Nigerian is penciled in to face Bologna, next week Monday as the game against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 today may come too soon for him.
Osimhen withdrew from the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after testing positive for COVID-19 in December. But his participation in the competition had been in
doubt after a complex surgery on multiple facial fractures in November, caused by an accidental clash of heads with Inter defender Milan Skriniar.
However, Osimhen received the all-clear to resume full contact training with Napoli from the specialist who operated on his face. And he wasted no time as he joined his teammates at the Castel Volturno ground on Wednesday.
Osimhen has scored nine goals with two assists in 14 games appearances for Napoli in all competitions this season.
