Napoli topscorer, Victor Osimhen will miss the trip to Poland to face Legia Warszawa in the Europa League Match-Day 4.
The Nigerian striker scored his fourth goal of the competition against the Polish side last Thursday but a gastrocnemius contracture in his right calf which ensured he missed the weekend win over Salernitana is also the same reason he is absent from the 18-man list selected by Luciano Spalletti for the match.
Osimhen continued his recovery in the gym with teammate Kelvin Malcuit while club captain Insigne and Spaniard Fabian trained away from the traveling squad.
“Victor Osimhen and Kevin Malcuit did personalised work in the gym,” the club wrote in a statement. “Fabian personalised on the pitch for a slight fatigue in the left adductor.
“Insigne has done personalised work to complete the recovery programme following the problem sustained on Saturday. Fabian and Insigne will not travel for Warsaw.”
Interestingly, Legia Warszawa are top of Group C with six points, Napoli are second with four points, same as third placed Leicester City while Spartak Moscow sit bottom with three points.
