Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen and 26 others stormed the northern Italian region of Dimaro as they continued preseason ahead of the 2021/22 football campaign under new Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti.
The Azzurri missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification last season and manager Gennaro Gattuso was sent packing from the club despite being a firm fan favourite.
Osimhen leads the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Kostas Manolas, Andrea Petagna and Matteo Politano to Dimaro for the preseason camp which would end on July 25. The players underwent medical and fitness tests in the gym before some light technical drills before the trip to Dimaro.
However, Spalletti will be without the services of Italy EURO 2020 winners Alex Meret, Lorenzo Insigne and Giovanni Di Lorenzo while the likes of Piotr Zielinski, Dries Mertens, Fabian Ruiz, Hirving Lozano and David Ospina are expected to join the camp on a later date.
Osimhen registered 10 Serie A goals in his debut season for Napoli after making a big money transfer from Lille last summer to Naples.
