Michael Jordan’s teammate at the legendary Chicago Bulls of the ’90s and NBA Hall of Famer, Scottie Pippen, has suffered a huge loss following the death of his firstborn son, Antron, on Sunday April 18, posting an emotional message in homage of him on Monday.
According to Pippen, Antron shared a love for basketball with him and could have made it to the NBA like he (Pippen) did had it not being for the chronic asthma that he (Antron) suffered from.
“Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadn’t had it, I truly believe he would’ve made it to the NBA. He never let that get him down, though—Antron stayed positive and worked hard, and I am so proud of the man that he became,” Pippen said in his message.
The six-time NBA champion described 33-year-old Antron, whom he had with his ex-wife Karen from his first marriage, as one with a kind heart and beautiful soul.
May the soul of Antron Pippen rest in peace.
