Former Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses netted his third consecutive goal for Spartak Moscow as they hammered PFC Sochi 4-0 in a preseason match on Sunday evening.
The Russian side is currently involved in the Parimatch Premier Cup tournament which began on July 11 at the Otkritie Bank Arena and the Nigerian is already repaying the club for their confidence in him after completing a permanent move from Chelsea.
Zelimkhan Bakaev and Reziuan Mirzov gave Spartak Moscow a 2-0 first half advantage. Aleksandr Sobolev made it 3-0 in the second half before Moses, who had earlier scored in two previous games for the club, rifled in a right foot shot from 20 yards to end the match 4-0.
A poll was conducted by the club for fans to pick the best goal for the night and Moses’s long range strike came out on top with 61.2%. Bakaev’s curler had just 15.1%. Sobolev’s goal gathered only 13.3% of the votes while Mirzov’s close range goal earned him only 10.5%.
Spartak are scheduled to take on Rubin Kazan on July 14 before wrapping up the preseason tourney with a game against Khimki on July 18.
