Messi’s strike helps PSG beat Man City

Six-time Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi opened his scoring account as PSG defeated Manchester 2-0 at the Le Parc des Princes.

The host got the first goal early in the game after Idrissa Gueye blasted home a powerful left-footed strike into the top-right corner in the 8th minute.

With a quarter of an hour left to play, Messi finally scored his first goal for PSG, After a one-two with Kylian Mbappe, the Argentine’s shot from outside the box went past Ederson to the edge of the box.

With the win, PSG have now moved top of Group A, with Manchester City dropping to third, while Club Brugge, who won away, are second on the table, with RB Leipzig sitting at the bottom.
