United made it 2-0 with a powerful header from Captain, Harry Maguire before Bruno Fernandes capped an outstanding first half performance with a majestic freekick to make it 3-0.
Super Eagles midfielder, Alex wobi was one of the brightest spots for Everton and created the Toffees best scoring opportunity but Damari Grey failed to connect with his delightful pass which went across the face of the Man United goal. The Nigerian then escaped a freak injury when Brandon Williams clattered into him and he landed awkwardly but after treatment, he returned to finish the game.
The Red Devils killed off the encounter as Diogo Dalot, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan scored the fourth goal of the afternoon when his header beat Everton’s substitute goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
Manchester United begin their 2021/22 premier league campaign next Saturday with a home game against Leeds United while Everton host Southampton at Goodison Park.
