Man United confirm Ronaldo’s jersey number for Homecoming season

Manchester United have confirmed the jersey number for latest signing Cristiano Ronaldo, ABZ can report.

The 36-year-old returned to the club after 12 years following his successful spells at Real Madrid and Juventus.

Ronaldo will wear the famous number 7 jersey at Old Trafford in his Homecoming debut, the confirmed today via an official statement.

It read: “Manchester United can confirm that Cristiano Ronaldo will wear the iconic no.7 shirt after returning to Old Trafford.

” The Portuguese superstar famously wore the legendary shirt number during his first spell at United and we can now confirm that Ronaldo will have it on his back once again.

“In his first six seasons at the club, between 2003 and 2009, Ronaldo made 292 appearances and scored 118 goals, winning nine trophies including three Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.”

Before Ronaldo’s arrival, Edinson Cavani was the custodian of the number 7 jersey but the Uruguayan switched to the no. 21 jersey following Daniel James’ switch to Leeds United.
