Manchester United manager, Harry Maguire showed his love for Leicester City after they won the FA Cup via his social media page.
The Foxes defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley courtesy a goal by Belgium international Youri Tielemans in the second half to hand Brendan Rodgers men their first ever Emirates FA Cup title.
An excited Maguire tweeted after the encounter, he wrote: “Vichai will be smiling. Congratulations @LCFC 👏” The message referred to the former Chairman of the club who died in a plane crash.
Maguire moved to Manchester United from Leicester City but he still has deep affections for the Foxes. Interestingly, it was Leicester City that knocked Manchester United out of the FA Cup during the quarter final stage before beating Southampton in the semifinals.
Maguire is currently injured and has missed Manchester United’s last two fixtures which they lost to Liverpool and Leicester City with both matches played at Old Trafford.
The Englishman is in a race to be fit for Manchester United’s Europa League final match against La Liga side Villarreal and Gareth Southgate will be hoping he is fit for the Euros for England.
