Romelu Lukaku has said that his decision to leave Manchester United in 2019 has worked in his favour.
The Belgian joined Inter Milan £75m in 2019 after spending two years at United.
So far, he has scored 47 goals in 72 games for Inter and has won the Italian Serie A.
Speaking to RTBF Sport (via MEN), he said: “Things didn’t work anymore. Things have to be said as they are: if a better offer comes from somewhere else or you can try something different, why not try it? I did it and I saw that works.”
Former Man United players, Ashley young and Alexis Sanchez, are also part of Inter’s title winning side.
United on the other hand finished second in the Premier League with 74 points, but have a chance to finish the 2020/21 season with a trophy when they face Villarreal in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
