Former champions, Liverpool defeated Arsenal 4-0 at Anfield, to end the Gunners 10-game unbeaten run.
After an end to end football, Liverpool broke the deadlock in the 39th minute, after right back, Trent Alexander-Arnold whooped in a freekick, and Senegal forward, Sadio Mane headed home the ball.
Seven minutes after the restart, Liverpool made it 2-0 following a poor pass from Nuno Tavares, and Diogo Jota snatched the ball, dribbled past the Arsenal defense, rounded the keeper and tapped into an empty net.
In the 74th minute, Mohamed Salah got his goal, and Liverpool’s third, after tapping home a cross from Mane into an empty net.
Takumi Minanimo made it 4-0, just five minutes after coming on, tapping in from close range, at the end of a low drive cross from Arnold.
Liverpool have now moved to second on the Premier League table, while Arsenal missed the chance to break into the top 4.
