Christophe Galtier’s Lille side have topped the Ligue 1 table since they beat defending champions PSG 1-0 at the Parc des Princes stadium in early April and they hold a point advantage over the Parisians with only one game to go.
Lille have collected 17 points from their last seven matches and they boast the best away form in the league this season, losing only one of their 18 games on the road. In fact, Lille have won 11 of their last 12 away league games drawing only once to Monaco.
The visitors have kept 21 clean sheets across their 37 league games – they have recorded three of those in consecutive games – and they should outclass an Angers side lying comfortable in the middle of the table and with nothing but pride to play for.
Les Scoistes have lost five of their last six matches and the goals have dried up with them firing six blanks across their previous nine league encounters. Lille is expected to pick up the victory they crave and should be crowned as the new Kings of France for the first time since 2011.
