Argentine winger, Eric Lamela gave the North London Derby its biggest highlight with an outstanding goal and a red card but it was Arsenal that had the last laugh with a 2-1 victory.
The Gunners dominated proceedings and even hit the post at the Emirates but it was Jose Mourinho’s men that took the lead through an individual brilliance. Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura charged his way into the Arsenal box but failed to control the ball as it fell just behind Lamela.
The former Serie A star improvised with a special scorpion kick that went past three Arsenal defenders and beat Leno in goal to give Spurs the lead against the run of play. However, the joy was short lived as Norwegian star Martin Oedegaard, who is on loan from Real Madrid smashed in a cross from Kieran Tierney to make it 1-1 just before half-time.
The Gunners continued their dominance in the second half but was helped by a clumsy penalty that was easily dispatched by French international Alexandre Lacazette.
Lamela went from hero to zero as he saw a second yellow card but Spurs finished stronger and Arsenal held on to complete a remarkable derby win over their North London rivals.
