The Argentina striker’s time at Manchester City came to an end following the Champions League final loss to Chelsea on Saturday night
Sergio Aguero has revealed he joined Barcelona because they are the best team in the world and it’s a step forward in his career.
Aguero joined the Catalan giants after ten decorated years at Manchester City. Although he won a lot of trophies at City, he suffered disappointment in his final game as the Citzens lost to Chelsea in Saturday’s Champions League final.
Nonetheless, Aguero is already looking to a new adventure, calling it an upward move.
“Barcelona is the best club in the world. I think I’ve made a good decision to come here and I hope to help the team,” Aguero told Barca Tv.
“Of course it’s a step forward in my career and I’m very happy to be here. Hopefully I can help the team to win titles. I’ll be very happy individually if the team does well”
“I want to send a big hug to all supporters. I’ll try to give my very best and hopefully the fans can enjoy my football, ” he added.
Barcelona has set a release clause of 100m euros on Aguero.
