Iheanacho’s brace leads Leicester to first FA Cup Semi-finals in 39years

Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho scored a brace as Leicester City reached the Semi-finals of the FA Cup for the first time in 39 years following a 3-1 win over Manchester United.

The former Manchester City star has netted a hat-trick against Sheffield United in the premier league and was buzzing with confidence ahead of the match against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

The Nigerian was gifted the first goal of the encounter when he intercepted Fred’s short back-pass and coolly rounded off goalkeeper Dean Henderson and scored in an empty net.

Manchester United equalised through Mason Greenwood to end the first half 1-1. However, it went from good to better for the Foxes as Belgium international Youri Tielemans beat Henderson from just inside the box to make it 2-1 before Iheanacho headed in the third from a freekick.

Leicester eliminated 12-time FA Cup winners Manchester United to reach their first semifinal in 39years. The Foxes will play Southampton in the semifinal while Chelsea face Manchester City in the second semifinal.
