Nigeria’s Super Eagles star, Kelechi “Seniorman Kelz” Iheanacho has won Leicester City Goal of the Month for the second straight month, after picking up the award for April.
Iheanacho won the award with his sublime winning strike for the Foxes in their 2-1 win over Eberechi Eze’s Crystal Palace. The goal was good enough to beat competition from Jamie Vardy, Timothy Castagne, U23 players, Tyrese Shade, Thanawat Suengchitthawon, Cole Dasilva and Leicester City Women’s Natasha Flint.
The 24-year-old has been in fine form since given the chance by manager Brendan Rodgers, and he has scored 18 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions, providing 7 assists in all.
After much criticism from the media, Iheanacho has found his best form, and he has become a vital player in the Leicester City team, creating a great partnership with Jamie Vardy, and it will be difficult for the manager not to feature the Nigerian in any of the Foxes’ matches.
