Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed disappointment after Leicester City failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
The former Manchester City star was the most in-form striker in the Premier League heading into the final game of the season, with the Foxes needing a win over Tottenham to secure fourth spot.
However, they blew their chances losing at home 4-2 to Tottenham Hotspur, leaving Chelsea to claim the position despite losing 2-1 away to Aston Villa.
The Nigerian tweeted: “I’m disappointed to miss out on UEFA Champions League qualification. We gave it all until the last moment. I’m proud of my teammates, winning the FA Cup was a dream for us. We’ll use this as motivation to be back next season. Thank you to the fans for all the support this season. Have a great Summer everyone 🙏🏽. “
Leicester City will represent England in the UEFA Europa League next season.
