Manchester United defender, Luke Shaw scored an early goal as England lead Italy 1-0 in the final of the Euro 2020.
The Three Lions reached their first European final when they defeated Denmark 2-1 in the semifinal while Italy saw off the number one team in FIFA ranking Belgium by the same scoreline – both games finished after extra time.
England made only one change to the squad that played in the semifinal as Kieran Trippier replaced Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and it paid off early on as the Atletico Madrid star provided the assists for Shaw to blast a half volley past Paris Saint Germain’s new signing Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Azzurri fought back as they ceased possession and nearly hit back from a brilliant solo effort by Federico Chiesa but his left foot shot missed target from just outside the box. Enjoying the game from the stands was England and Manchester United legend David Beckham in company of Hollywood actor, Tom Cruise.
No yellow card or controversies as the referee handled the game very well. Do you see England holding on to victory or Italy coming from behind to win?
