Good news for Rohr and Super Eagles ahead of Nigeria’s clash

The technical adviser of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has received a piece of good news ahead of Nigeria’s final group match for the Africa Cup of Nations against Lesotho.

Alex Iwobi has tested negative to COVID-19 after the Everton midfielder returned a positive test in his result before the game against the Squirrels of Benin Republic. He is now in line to feature against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.

The NFF Twitter handle @thenff released an update that says Iwobi tested negative. It says: “Update: @NGSuperEagles forward, @alexiwobi has tested negative after further COVID-19 tests were conducted. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong”

With this latest update, Iwobi, who has featured for the Super Eagles 44 times, is in line to start the game against Lesotho, and Gernot Rohr, who is expected to change his team, will likely start the Everton Star.
