German senior national team is set to beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria to RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi, according to Sport Bild.
The 19-year-old who was born in Munich is also eligible to represent Nigeria and Romania courtesy his father and mother respectively.
The report claims that the German technical tactical team led by new manager, Hansi Flick is a huge fan of the Munich native and had top national team scout Herrmann Gerland check him out during RB Salzburg win over Austria Wien 1-0 earlier this month.
Adeyemi emerged from the famous Bayern München academy from where he joined Unterhacing in 2011 but was released for disciplinary reasons. He later made a big move to Austria’s number one team RB Salzburg in 2018.
After spending time on loan at Salzburg’s feeder club FC Liefering in division 2, he rejoined the team for the second half of 2020/2021 season and finished the campaign with seven league goals.
This season, Adeyemi has scored five league goals for RB Salzburg in just four matches and that has impressed German manager, Flick who is strongly expected to name Adeyemi for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Liectenstein, Armenia and Iceland later this month.
There are no reports of interest for Adeyemi from the Romanian national team who are also set to be involved in the World Cup qualifiers and Nigeria that will be competing in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) from January, 2022.
