That is why we need to win today’s final to become one of the greatest clubs in the history of women’s football in Nigeria.
“Bayelsa Queens are one of the greatest women’s football clubs in Nigeria as multiple league champions, but that is not the same with FC Robo. We have told ourselves in the club that, the new status, of being one of the major clubs in Nigeria, must be achieved this year and it must be done with the Aiteo Cup final, with the title in our bag.”
Osahon added: “After missing the NWFL Premiership Super Six title by the skin of the teeth, we have learnt our lessons and we won’t make the same mistake in the Aiteo Cup final. We have come a long way, and there is no shying away from our immediate responsibility,” noting that: “In the last number of years, FC Robo had played in the quarter finals of the Aiteo Cup, but enough is enough. After the attainment of the elite club status in Nigerian Women’s Football, following the positive revolution at the NWFL Premiership Super Six in Ijebu Ode, we don’t have any option than to grab the opportunity with both hands. This is the only way we can change our status.”
Bayelsa Queens Fc of Yenagoa have expressed their determinations to beat FC Robo of Lagos to win today’s Aiteo Cup final.

“My players were consumed by the euphoria of the NWFL Super Six, but we have overcome that and this is visible from the current form of the team. After the completion of the 2021 season, we didn’t go on break but stayed back in camp to train and plan for the Aiteo Cup challenge. We have perfected all our plans to win the Aiteo Cup title, and we won’t hesitate to crush any opposition on the way to winning the title.”
