Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has praised Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of his side’s Europa League round-of-16 clash with AC Milan the San Siro.
Ibrahimovic, who played for Manchester United between 2016 and 2018, missed the first leg due to injury, but could feature is this important second leg clash.
The first leg ended 1-1, leaving United with the need to score to qualify for the quarter-final.
“It’s nice to see him again and, for us, hopefully he manages to play as it’s going to be a great game and big players make games even better,” said Marcus of the veteran striker,” Rashford said, according to manutd.com.
“He helped me a lot, seeing the way he prepares to get himself ready mentally for each game. He’s a different type of animal, mentally and physically as well. He brought that fighting experience to our squad and has done the same at Milan, to be fair.”
39-year-old Ibrahimovic was recently recalled to the Swedish national team after retiring in 2016.
