Drogba celebrates Chelsea’s Champions League triumph with ex-teammate

Fans of Chelsea are still celebrating a special moment after they beat Manchester City 1-0 to win the UEFA Champions League and will be even more delighted to see two club icons in one special picture together.

Ivory Coast football legend, Didier Drogba who inspired Chelsea to win the European Championship back in 2012 met former Blues teammate Michael Essien.

Drogba took to social media and posted: “Good to see you my brother. Keep inspiring all the youths and all the best in your future.”

Both players excelled with their time playing for Chelsea, winning Premier League titles, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and Community Shield. Interestingly, they were both club most expensive buys when Jose Mourinho signed them for Chelsea.

Drogba like every other Chelsea fans around the world has been celebrating the Blues triumph in the Champions League last weekend when they beat Manchester City courtesy a Kai Havertz goal to lift the European Cup for the second time in their history.
