The Mavin boss has played a huge role in the success of some of Nigeria’s biggest music stars, but he still has two regrets
Don Jazzy has revealed his two biggest regrets in the music industry is that he did not sign Simi and Falz. Therecord prducer and Mavin head boss is one of the biggest influential figures in the Nigerian music industry.
Aside from running two successful labels (Mo’hits and Mavin), Do Jazzy has also played a huge role in the successful careers of stars like Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Wande Coal and D’banj, who was also the co-owner of the defunct Mo’hits record.
However, despite the success he has had, Don Jazzy, whose real name is Micheal Akereh, revealed he wished he had signed both Simi and Falz when the opportunity presented itself.
He said this in an interview with Ebuka on his Bounce Blackbox series. Don Jazzy revealed he did not sign Falz because the Talk’ crooner already had a management company, while Simi was a case of choice.
It comes after he revealed he married at the age of 20, but divorced two years later to focus on his music.
