The 2020 European Championship saw its first goalless draw, as Spain failed to capitalise on the dominance they had against Sweden at the Estadio de La Cartuja, Sevilla.

Robin Olsen was in fine form as he stopped every attempt from the Spaniards, keeping his team in the tie for 90 minutes. The best chances for twp-time champions from Alvaro Morata, Pablo Sarabia, and Koke, were either squandered or saved by Sweden’s number one.

Sweden had two different opportunities to have won the game. Alexander Isak’s shot hit Marcos Llorente and deflected off the upright in the first half. Then in the second half, Marcus Berg missed a sitter.

The moment in the game came in the 90th minute after Sarabia’s pinpoint cross was well headed at goal by Gerard Moreno, but Olsen again was equal to the task, saving with his foot.

Spoils were shared after 90 minutes with both teams sharing one point, and they sit second and third in Group E.
