The Milano derby between AC Milan and Inter Milan ended 1-1 after two early goals at the San Siro.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored the opening goal for Nerazzurri in the 11th minute against his former club, after he was brought down by Frank Kessie, and the Turkish stepped up and scored the resulting spot-kick.
Six minutes later, the Rossoneri after Sandro Tonali sent in a freekick and Stefan de Vrij headed the ball into his own goal.
Inter Milan had the chance to win the match in the 27th minute after Fode Ballo-Toure brought down Matteo Darmian in the box, but Lautaro Martinez’s spot-kick was saved by Ciprian Tatarusanu to keep the score ar 1-1.
Following the stalemate, both teams remain in their positions on the log. AC Milan are second, level on points with Napoli, while Inter are third on the Serie A table.
