Champions League: Man City should be favourites against PSG

Two of the favourites for this Champions League season face off in Paris tonight as Manchester City and PSG test their credentials. Both teams are yet to claim the biggest title in European football despite reaching the semi-finals and finals of recent seasons.

Fans expect PSG and Man City to go as far as possible this season and a clash in the group stage is a taster of what is in store for the duo in Europe this season. Both teams invested in new signings this summer. Jack Grealish joined the English side while the French side secured the services of Ramos, Hakimi, and the great Lionel Messi.

Two-faced PSG slump to 2-1 home defeat against Manchester City

Man City have been the team to beat in England for several years and displayed their brilliance again this weekend. A tactical masterclass secured a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. The Citizens had the luxury of the early kick-off ahead of the trip to France and will hope to secure another impressive win.

City are in good shape after winning 6-3 against Leipzig in their Champions League opener. They come into this game having won six of their last seven, scoring 24 goals in that run.

The side has also kept five clean sheets along the way. The defensive solidity could prove to be the difference here. The Citizens should hold firm against a PSG side who may have Lionel Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar in their ranks but are shaky in defence.
