Edinson Cavani has been crowned Manchester United Player of the Month for May following his brilliant end of the season display.
The El Matador first ahead of Mason Greenwood with 76 percent votes while the Englishman ended with 14 percent of the votes cast on the club’s official app. In third place was Scot international, Scott Mc-Tominay.
Cavani scored 6 goals in five matches in the month of May as he made it back-to-back wins, having been named winner of the same award in April.
The Uruguayan helped Manchester United finish second in the Premier League and Europa League losing out to Manchester City and Villarreal respectively for both honours in what is largely considered a successful season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Cavani’s goal against Fulham is also nominated for the Premier League goal of the Season Award. He recently extended his deal at Old Trafford for one more season and hoped the fans return for a packed arena next season.
