Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur have sacked Nuno Espirito-Santo as manager, following the loss to Manchester United.
Former Wolverhampton manager becomes the next managerial casualty, after the owner, Daniel Levy pulls the plug on the Portuguese gaffer after four months at the club.
The match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United was tagged “el sackico” as it could determine the fate of both managers, and the win for the Red Devils sealed the fate of the two gaffers with Nuno getting the sack.
Tottenham’s managing director, Fabio Paratici said: “I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision.
“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”
Nuno becomes the third manager to be sacked in the Premier League this season after Watford terminated the contract of Xisco Munoz, and Newcastle ended their relationship with Steve Bruce.
